Jack Cullen is a medal machine.

JACK Cullen is a medal machine.

The multi-talented Bandon AC athlete finished off his hugely successful 2018 track and field season at the All-Irelands in Tullamore last weekend by adding another gold to his growing collection.

His latest podium-topping performance came in the U15 triple jump to follow on from the U15 javelin that Jack won the previous weekend with a throw of 46.15 metres.

In total, he won a staggering 23 medals in this season’s track and field championships, from West Cork level right through to the All-Irelands.

And this massive medal haul doesn’t include the two Munster and one All-Ireland medal the Hamilton High School student won at schools’ track and field level.

Jack (14) is now All-Ireland U15 javelin champion and All-Ireland schools’ junior javelin champion, and considering that the javelin is his first love, expect plenty more medals and headlines from this talented teenager in the years ahead.
