WE know here in West Cork that sparks fly when Carbery Rangers and Castlehaven meet in the county senior football championship – and now the rest of the country will experience this rivalry after TG4 announced they will broadcast the match live on Sunday, July 26th.

This Rangers v Castlehaven derby in Clonakilty (throw-in, 2.30pm) will be the latest in their rivalry that has seen them clash a number of times in the county senior championship.

While Castlehaven enjoyed the better of the earlier meetings, Ross have ruled the roost in recent times, winning the last three championship clashes – 2014 Round 4 replay, 2017 quarter-final and 2019 Round 2 tie.

All eyes will be on Clonakilty on July 26th in their opening group game in the Cork Premier Senior Football Championship as they kick off their campaigns in the West Cork group of death that also includes Ilen Rovers and Newcestown. TG4’s live coverage of Rangers v Castlehaven will start at 2.15pm.
