Carbery will take on O'Donovan Rossa in West Cork derby on April 30th

GENE O’Driscoll will manage the Carbery senior football team this year.

The Tadhg MacCarthaigh clubman – involved in the Cork U21 coaching setup – was approached by the Carbery GAA Board earlier this week to see if he would be interested in taking charge of the division’s senior footballers again this season.

He agreed on Thursday morning to take on the job once more, having stepped back from the role last year following Carbery’s Cork SFC exit to UCC in the colleges/divisional section of the competition.

Carbery will take on O’Donovan Rossa, a club O'Driscoll played for in the past, in the first round of the 2016 Cork SFC on April 30th in Dunmanway.
