A BUSY bank holiday weekend of league and cup fixtures produced a plethora of goals.

Dunmanway Town will face Lyre Rovers in the SuperValu U14 Schoolgirls Challenge Cup final. A 5-3 defeat of Beara United sent Dunmanway through. Amelie McCarthy (2), Emily Hayes (2) and Chloe O’Farrell scored with Saoirse Farrelly (2) and Keelin Sullivan replying for Beara.

The U14 Schoolgirls Premier League got underway with Sullane overcoming Drinagh Rangers 2-1 on Monday. Freya Cronin and Lily Scannell strikes won it for the visitors with Ayesha Daly scoring for Rangers.

Riverside Athletic qualified for the U14 Schoolgirls Shield final thanks to a 5-4 win after extra-time away to Beara United. Lizzie O’Shea (3) and Robyn Healy scored for Beara but Moya Hennessy (2), Carley Tobin, Michaela O’Sullivan and Olivia Canty efforts sent Athletic through.

Ella Murray (2) and Ruby Dooley (2) goals earned Riverside Athletic a 4-1 win away to Castlelack in the opening U13 Schoolgirls Premier League fixture of the campaign. Isabella Santos netted for the hosts.

Clonakilty AFC Greens beat Clonakilty AFC Reds 4-2 in the U12 Schoolgirls Premier League last Monday. Catherine Foley and Grace Malone scored for the Reds. Emma Deasy (2), Laoise Morley and April Walsh goals won it for the Greens.

Sullane proved too strong for Bay Rovers, winning 5-0 in the SuperValu U16 Schoolgirls Challenge Cup semi-finals. Keely Dineen (3), Sadbh Cronin and Idé McCarthy netted for Sullane. Aoife O’Donovan, Tess Hurley and Katie Murphy impressed for Bay.

Rory Murnane (3), Johnnie Russell, Lucas Forde and Shay Leahy strikes earned Bay Rovers a 6-3 victory over Ardfield after extra-time. That confirmed Bay’s place in the last eight of this season’s U12 Schoolboys Shield. Colin Ronan netted a hat-trick in reply.

Elsewhere in the U12 Schoolboys Shield, Lyre Rovers are through to the quarter-finals courtesy of a 3-1 victory at Bunratty United. Quintin Horstmanshoff scored for United with Eoin Ryan, Eoghan O’Driscoll and Cormac O’Callaghan netting Lyre’s goals.

Castlelack Celtic knocked Clonakilty AFC Rovers out of the U12 Schoolboys Challenge Cup following a 4-1 win in Brinny. Rohan Santos (2), Gavin Kerr and Simon Crewe scored for the hosts with Oran Werner replying for Clonakilty.

Skibbereen Dynamos joined Castlelack in the last eight of the U12 Schoolboys Challenge Cup thanks to a 4-0 win over Beara United. Jimmy McDonagh (2), Charlie Leung and Jack McCarthy were on target.

Liam Duggan (2) and Nathan Long netted in Dunmanway Town’s U13 Schoolboys Challenge Cup quarter-final win at Clonakilty AFC United. Keith Mazibeli Kgotso scored for Clon.

Jack O’Brien scored five times in Skibbereen Celtic’s U13 Schoolboys Shield quarter-final victory over Riverside Athletic. Kasey O’Regan and Eryk Skrzypiec also netted.

Tadhg Kinsella (3), Diarmuid Sutton, Rory Hicks, and Rory Fairbrother were amongst the goals in Drinagh Diamonds’ U13 Schoolboys Championship win at Bay Rovers.

Drinagh Dynamos edged Beara United 3-2 in the first U13 Schoolboys League One fixture of the season. Daithi O’Meara and Oisin McMahon netted for Beara but Max Musgrave, Liam Skinner O’Neill and Daniel O’Sullivan strikes earned Dynamos the points.

Drinagh Rangers are through to this season’s U15 Schoolboys Challenge Cup final. Rangers defeated Skibbereen Dynamos 2-1 thanks to a Max Bramoulle brace of goals. Fiachra Garrett replied for Skibb.
