DRINAGH Rangers could clinch the West Cork League Premier Division title this Sunday afternoon.

The league leaders host second-placed Skibbereen AFC, who are also defending champions, at Canon Crowley Park in a title-defining match with Drinagh only needing to avoid defeat to clinch the league crown.

Drinagh currently lead the table with 31 points from 14 games while Skibbereen sit on 28 points from 15 games, while Drinagh also have the better goal difference – plus 19 compared to Skibb’s plus 13.

Considering this is Skibbereen’s last league game, they need to win, and by at least three goals, to take the title race to the final day of the season when Drinagh Rangers meet Togher Celtic.

Even if Skibb win on Sunday by a sufficient margin they will still need Togher to do them a favour in the last game against Drinagh.
