ENNISKEANE’S Orla Cronin is having her best season in a Cork jersey, according to manager Paudie Murray.

This is her fourth year on the senior panel and she has already won two All-Irelands but Murray feels Cork are now seeing the best of the 21-year-old West Cork woman who is firing on all cylinders in the Rebels’ attack.

‘Orla is having her best season so far, no doubt about that,’ Murray said.

‘She’s motoring well this year, she’s in great shape, her fitness levels are very high and she is playing with a smile on her face.

‘She got two points against Wexford, four against Limerick, two against Tipperary, that’s a good return for a centre forward.’

Murray was impressed with Cronin against Wexford last weekend and he also praised a number of the team’s younger guns, including St Colum’s dual star Libby Coppinger.

‘Meabh Cahalane had probably her best game for Cork in two years, Chloe Sigerson who was a minor last year is going very well, Libby Coppinger had her best game with Cork so far, Niamh McCarthy also had her best game as well so that’s good that they are all putting their hands up; that’s exactly what we want,’ Murray said.
