COUNTY senior football champions Carbery Rangers are close to unveiling its new senior football management team with former O’Donovan Rossa manager Shane Crowley and Maurice Moore expected to appointed as joint managers once the club's executive committee ratifies the decision.
Ross have been on the lookout for a new senior manager since Ronan McCarthy (Douglas), who led the club to its first Cork SFC title this year, signalled his intentions to step back from the role a few weeks ago.
Ross have decided to appoint joint managers in Crowley and Moore, the latter a former Carbery Rangers player who was the team’s fitness trainer this year. Moore, a physical therapist, completed a Masters Degree in Sports Science at Stafford University two years ago.
Crowley stepped down as Skibbereen senior football manager recently after two years in charge, having led Skibb to the Cork SFC last four and the Kelleher Shield in 2015.
