THE West Cork Academy U15 Schoolboys take on Kerry in a crucial SFAI National Inter-League group clash this weekend and ahead of their upcoming UK trip to face Conor Hourihane’s Barnsley Academy.
Canon Crowley Park hosts a Group C matchup between West Cork and Kerry on Sunday (2pm kick-off). Both sides are on three points apiece after three rounds of games and eager to close the gap on leaders Limerick District. David Hall’s academy side warmed up with a recent 2-2 draw against Cobh Ramblers League of Ireland U15s. Jack Allen netted twice for West Cork.
Once their SFAI National U15 Schoolboys Inter-League fixtures are completed, the West Cork Academy will begin preparations for their UK midterm tour between February 16th and 20th.

Conor Hourihane has helped facilitate a meeting with his English Championship club Barnsley’s Academy. Games against Doncaster, Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday academies are also being planned.

The West Cork Academy Awards Night will take place on Saturday, February 7th, at the Celtic Ross Hotel. 2026’s WCCSL and Academy AGM goes ahead the following Tuesday, February 10th, in Brookpark, Dunmanway.
A brand-new season of West Cork Schoolboys and Schoolgirls League action will commence on the weekend of March 14th and 15th. It has also been confirmed, following last year’s successful introduction, that a full week of WCSSL Cup finals has once again been pencilled in for MTU Cork in May.
