CLONAKILTY AFC, Lyre Rovers and Riverside Athletic are preparing for SuperValu West Cork Schoolboys and Schoolgirls League Schoolgirls Challenge Cup and Shield finals.
Ballyvackey club, Clonakilty AFC Greens, proved too strong for Dunmanway Town and registered a 7-0 victory to qualify for this season’s U12 Schoolgirls Shield final.
April Walsh proved Clonakilty’s hero, netting five times during a terrific individual display. An additional Emma Deasy brace ensured Clonakilty’s safe progress. April Walsh, Mahan Ruhel, Sarah Daly, Leah McNamara and Lauren Collins were the pick of the winners’ top performers.

Lyre Rovers will take on either Beara United or Dunmanway Town in this season’s SuperValu U14 Schoolgirls Cup final.
Eadaoin Collins, Savannah O’Flaherty and Alice O’Sullivan found the net in Lyre’s 3-1 semi-final win at home to Drinagh Rangers. Holly Connolly Jeffrey was the Canon Crowley Park side’s lone scorer in a cracking semi-final.

Riverside Athletic joined Bay Rovers in this season’s U14 Schoolgirls Shield decider thanks to a superb semi-final victory away to Clonakilty AFC.
The Carbery Park club emerged 3-0 winners from a last four encounter in which Ria Buttimer, Ella Murray and Annabella McCarthy found the net. Emma Kenneally, Mia Horgan, Annabella McCarthy and Ola Bak were in excellent form for Riverside.
Clonakilty AFC and Dunmanway Town will go head-to-head in the U15 Schoolgirls Cup decider after the former overcame Lyre Rovers 2-0 and latter defeated Beara United 4-0.
Drinagh Rangers secured a SuperValu U16 Schoolgirls Challenge Cup final berth thanks to a comprehensive win at home to Castlelack at Canon Crowley Park on Monday evening.
Goals from Rosie O’Donovan, Laoise Young, Mia Hegarty, Sarah Buttimer and Muireann Campbell earned Rangers a straightforward victory. Whoever emerges from Sullane and Bay Rovers’ upcoming semi-final will take on Drinagh for the U16 Schoolgirls Challenge Cup trophy.
