GER Manley’s Cork camogie team start their 2026 season this Saturday when they travel to Walsh Park to face Waterford (2pm) in the opening round of Centra Camogie League Division 1A.
Cork are defending league champions and will be hoping to bounce back from their All-Ireland final defeat to Galway last August.
The Rebels will be without the retired Laura Tracey and AFLW duo Hannah Looney and Aoife Healy, but Laura Hayes, speaking to Off The Ball, is still optimistic about the new season.

‘Last year we really set our stall out for the league and it was the first time any of us won it. It was very important for us to go after a league medal and set us out for the rest of the year. It settled the squad as well,’ Hayes said.
‘We know Waterford are going to be really strong. This year for us, the league might be a bit different. Getting that match-time into players to give them a bit of experience and finding the team that’s going to go into the championship.
‘We are going to go out and try to win every game. That’s for sure. It will be interesting to see where we stand after the first game.’
