CASTLELACK’S Jack Allen was the star of the show at the West Cork Schoolboys and Schoolgirls League and Academy Awards in the Celtic Ross Hotel.

The up-and-coming Castlelack striker took home FOUR awards including the overall WCSSL Martin Briscoe Player of the Year accolade.

Allen is coming off one of his most prolific campaigns in a Castlelack jersey. The four-time award winner returned home from an eye-catching week touring the UK with the West Cork Academy U15 schoolboys.

Allen found the net against Sheffield Wednesday, scored a brace in the 3-2 win over Leeds United and a hat-trick against Doncaster.

Last Saturday night, the Brinny-based striker claimed the WCSSL Player of the Year, U15 Schoolboys Player of the Year, U15 Academy Player of the Year and Academy (overall) Player of the Year awards.
