BUNRATTY United went top of the Championship after two goals in the final ten minutes helped them beat Ardfield 3-1.

Conor Brosnan gave United a 1-0 half-time lead but Niall Keane looked to have salvaged a point for Ardfield with a 71st minute penalty.

Bunratty retook the lead through Keith O’Sullivan before Brosnan put the result beyond doubt.

United sit top on 42 points but Beara United (39), Bay Rovers (36) and Ardfield (31 with three games in hand) are all in the race too. This Sunday, Bunratty travel to second place Beara, Ardfield are at home to Aultagh Celtic B while Bay Rovers head to play Aultagh Celtic.

In the Women’s 7s Premier Division, the top two in Drinagh Rangers and Dunmanway Town played out a goalless draw.

There was more entertainment elsewhere as Drinagh B saw off Lyre Rovers 4-2. Kelle Doolan and Carmel Coakley gave Drinagh a 2-0 lead at the break before Aimee Doolan bagged a brace in the second half. Claire Cooke and Amy Burke goaled for Lyre. 

Drinagh Rangers kept up their unbeaten start to the U18 League with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Dunmanway Town.

The league leaders led 2-0 at half-time courtesy of Ryan O’Donovan and Joe McCarthy before Conor Coakley made it 3-0 on 54 minutes.

Dunmanway, to their credit, battled back as Sam Foley hit the net twice.
