THE RCM Tarmacadam Carbery Junior B Hurling Championship final will be contested by Bandon’s second team and Bantry Blues.
In last weekend’s semi-final, Bandon beat Barryroe by 2-22 to 2-14 in Clonakilty in a game they were largely in control of.
After six minutes, Bandon had six unanswered points on the board as Seán Ahern, Donnacha McCarthy, Kevin Hannon and Jack Calnan all split the posts.

Barryroe did close the gap to one on 22 minutes when they goaled to make it 0-9 to 1-5 before a point two minutes later levelled matters.
Ahern, Calnan and Adam Barry chipped in for more scores to give Bandon a 0-12 to 1-7 half-time lead. The Lilywhites increased the gap to eight on 39 minutes when Jake Lillis found the net, 1-15 to 1-7.
Barryroe did make a go at fighting back but a Barry goal made the result safe on 48 minutes, 2-17 to 1-10. The Sky Blues managed a consolation goal on 53 minutes but by then Bandon were already on their way to the decider.
Scorers for Bandon included Seán Ahern (0-11, 7f), Adam Barry (1-1), Jack Calnan, Kevin Hannon (0-3 each), Jake Lillis (1-0), Donnacha McCarthy and Ronan Ahern (0-2 each).
In the other semi-final, Bantry beat Gabriel Rangers 3-15 to 3-11 in a close battle in Skibbereen. The results mean that both sides that were relegated from the Junior A grade last year find themselves in the junior B final this year but only one can win this upcoming final.
Bandon also have a county intermediate A final to look forward to, exciting times for the club’s hurlers.
