CLONAKILTY'S Amy McCarthy has had a memorable year in 2026.

After winning the Ashbourne Cup with UCC, she was part of the Cork U23 camogie panel that won the All-Ireland title, defeating Kilkenny 2-23 to 1-5 in the final.

McCarthy was one of a few West Cork involvements along with Millie Condon (Ballinascarthy), Maebh O'Brien (Enniskeane), Niamh Kennedy (Clonakilty) and Catherine and Mary Murphy (Kinsale).
