Witnesses sought to bank holiday weekend incident in Ballydehob

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a disturbance and assault that took place in Ballydehob over the August bank holiday weekend.

GARDAÍ in Bantry are appealing for witnesses to a disturbance and assault which occurred at Ballydehob over the August bank holiday weekend between 11.45pm on Saturday  August 3rd and 12.30am on Sunday August 4th.

During the course of the incident a number of people were assaulted as a result of a fight and disturbance on the main street.

Two people have been arrested in relation to this incident and are currently in Garda custody at Bantry Garda Station.

Gardaí are appealing for anybody who may have witnessed the incidents or anybody driving through the village who may have witnessed it and may have dash cam footage to contact Bantry Garda station at 027 20860 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
