Tourism interests in West Cork are invited to a meeting in Bantry tomorrow night (January 28) to discuss plans for a region-wide campaign.

TOURISM interests in West Cork are invited to a meeting in Bantry tomorrow night – Wednesday – to discuss plans for a region-wide campaign.

Loop Head peninsula and Failte Ireland representatives will be heading to the meeting to share their insights with West Cork tourism businesses.

The ‘Meet & Greet’ evening at the Maritime hotel at 8pm is a free public event organised by Tourism West Cork, which held its first meeting in Skibbereen in October, drawing a crowd of over 120 people.

The meeting shared ideas on how best to promote the region to Irish and international audiences. The new body formed after that meeting is made up of representatives from a wide range of tourism-related businesses and community groups from across West Cork. Its objective is to promote the area in a cohesive and progressive way, and to make sure that every potential tourist is aware of the unique experiences West Cork has to offer.
