STORM WARNING: Hannah's on the way - stay safe!

A Status Orange wind warning for Cork, and a Status Red warning for Kerry and Clare is in place from 4pm today. Gusts of 110 to 130km/h are expected in West Cork this evening up until 1am Saturday morning and 150km in Kerry.

Gardaí are appealing to the public to be extra cautious as severe winds are forecast this evening, Friday, April 26th. 
A Status Orange wind warning for Cork, is in place from 4pm today until 1am tomorrow morning, Saturday 27th. Gusts of 110 to 130km/h are expected, while a Status Red wind warning with gusts of up to 150km/h has been issued for Kerry and Clare.
Cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians should be aware of the danger posed by high winds as they are particularly vulnerable. Drivers of high sided vehicles should take all necessary precautions and pay attention to the warnings. 
People living near coastal, cliff and waterway areas, particularly those with children, are urged to be extra cautious considering the gusty winds forecast.

The ESB has advised people in advance to download the PowerCheck app, charge their phones, have a torch available and to have your MRPN ready if you need to report a power cut during Storm Hannah.
