An orange weather alert has been released in advance of Storm Fionn with a risk of flooding warned.
Storm Fionn is set to hit West Cork this evening with very strong westerly winds with mean wind speeds of 65 to 80 km/h and gusts of up to 120 km/hr, strongest near coasts. There will be a risk of flooding in coastal areas.
The orange weather alert is valid from 3pm Tuesday January 16th until 3am Wednesday morning.
