Spectacular drone coverage of Galley Head lighthouse near Clonakilty

PHOTOGRAPHER John Eagle from Beara has shot stunning drone footage of Galley Head Lighthouse near Clonakilty.

The video, shot from his drone – known as ‘The Eagle Eye’ – took advantage of a stunning sunny February day to capture the magnificent location of the lighthouse which lies between Long Strand and Inchydoney.

The magnificent headland, which is home to one of Ireland’s most iconic lighthouses, is shown in all its glory by The Eagle Eye.

The video also features the historic lighthouse keepers’ houses which are now run by the Irish Landmark Trust and can be rented out by the public.

John Eagle is a well-known lighthouse photographer and has also published a number of books featuring his spectacular shots of these properties – all of which are, by their very nature, in extraordinary locations along Ireland’s rugged coastline.
