Some Beara homes still without power after Storm Atiyah

THERE are still 150 ESB customers without power on the Beara peninsula, following last night’s storm.

Storm Atiyah affected thousands of ESB customers nationwide, with pockets of West Cork, including Durrus, Glengarriff and Castletownbere affected.

Today, there are still three pockets of the Beara peninsula, in the vicinity of Castletownbere, still affected.

The ESB powercheck.ie map shows that the estimated time for repair is by 7pm this evening.
