Gardaí have arrested a 45-year-old man following a burglary in Ballineen last night.
A 45-YEAR-old man was arrested last night in connection with a burglary at a house in Derrigra, Ballineen.
The owner of the house, a man in his late 50s, was assaulted by the intruder which happened at approximately 12.30am and he did not need hospital treatment following the assault.
The suspect fled the scene but was arrested a short time later by gardaí. He is currently being detained at Kinsale Garda station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
