RTE PRESENTER Kathryn Thomas is launching a new fitness bootcamp at an island resort outside Skibbereen.

Described as ‘Ireland’s premier bootcamp’, Pure Results, a diet orientated, training programme will be launched exclusively on Friday, April 17th on West Cork’s tranquil Inish Beg island.

‘I wanted to combine my love of travel and the outdoors with my passion for fitness in this new venture. I want clients to escape to one of the most beautiful parts of Ireland and feel like they have had a holiday, while also pushing them outside their comfort zones to reach their goals,’ Kathryn said this week.

Running for six weeks, Pure Results is the brainchild of the TV personality and health and fitness fanatic. Designed to help you get fit, renew confidence and inspire long-term lifestyle changes, the concept is simple, but new to Irish shores.

Participants will spend seven days on the exclusive island, near Baltimore, and receive a realistic two-week nutrition and training plan and begin their journey towards achieving a life-changing goal.

With access to leading health experts, from trainers, to nutritionists, the six-night, seven-day outdoor boot-camp, will see each individual prepped and confident that they can transform their diet, fitness, and well-being, keeping their aspirations in mind.

But the bootcamp isn’t just for people travelling to West Cork. Kathryn told The Southern Star that local people could avail of the bootcamp for the day.

The offer to participate in part of the programme without necessitating staying over at Inish Beg is exclusive to locals only.

Kathryn said she hoped there would be a big uptake on the programme because ‘there is something that happens to all of us when we break barriers and achieve things we never thought we were capable of. When it comes to fitness and weight loss, a supportive environment is key, and as most people know, I am a big believer in having fun while you’re doing it as well.’

The bootcamp’s website quotes a ‘special introductory offer’ of €999 for the frist camp – beginning on Friday April 17th, for six nights, for a shared courtyard room.

This price rises to €1399 for a courtyard room with single occupancy. Both prices increase to €1199 and €1499 respectively, from May.
