THE father of a seven-week-old baby told Judge Joanne Carroll ‘I won’t let you down’ after she suspended the sentence she imposed on him at Bantry District Court.
Julius Kroscen (23) of 2, Marino Terrace, Bantry pleaded guilty to possession of €140 worth of cannabis at his home on April 17th 2024.

She said evidence on the accused’s mobile phone showed his involvement in the sale and supply of cannabis, and Mr Kroscen also made an admission to Gda Timothy O’Donovan during the search.
His solicitor Flor Murphy said his client submitted himself to three random urine tests – one in December, one in January, and one in March – and all were drug-free.
Mr Kroscen said: ‘I have a seven-week-old baby. He needs me so I will stay out of trouble.’
He said he has a new job, working in construction in Goleen, and that he had come clean with his employer before attending court.
‘This man has to understand he can’t sell drugs for profit,’ Judge Joanne Carroll said before imposing a three-month sentence, suspended for 12 months, and marking the possession charge proven.
The accused thanked the judge saying: ‘I won’t let you down.’
