LOCALS in Béal na Bláth and visitors to West Cork will be delighted to hear that the petrol station at the historic intersection has re-opened under new management. The Tria Express filling station and the new XL store opened for business last week, following a complete re-branding and refit.

The petrol station and shop, which had been operated by another tenant closed last November leaving a void in the area for locals and those commuting from West Cork to the city along the Bantry Line. Tria are now the new tenants of this building which has remained in the same ownership

Tria is the new name for West Cork Oil, City Oil, Brosnan Oil & Osborne Oil. It is based in West Cork, where it has a number of outlets and also provides home heating oil, lubricants, along with commercial, agricultural and marine fuels.

The new Tria Express will be open from 6am to 10pm weekdays and from 8am to 10pm on Sundays and the owners hope to attract significant business to the local community, with commuters and tourists visiting this area of historical significance.

There will be an official opening at the end of the month.
