BACK in the summer of 1975, fifteen students finished sixth class at Enniskeane National School.
From there, they set off for various secondary schools, later embarking on diverse careers and lives locally, across Ireland and beyond.
Last Sunday—over 50 years since some had last seen one another—nine former classmates reunited at Foley’s Bar. It was a great afternoon and evening spent catching up and trading stories of school days gone by. While much has changed since the 1960s and 70s, the classmates agreed that today’s students have it much easier than they did in their draughty, Victorian-era school building!

Thanks was expressed to Mary Crowley for her hard work in organising the reunion, and to the staff at Foley’s for their warm hospitality.
