Ed Sheeran in Schull

SINGER Ed Sheeran spent last weekend in West Cork. 

He stunned staff at the Schull Harbour Hotel last Sunday morning when he popped in for breakfast. In a posting on the hotel’s Facebook page, staff members Ruth O’Callaghan and Michelle Levis posted a picture with him, adding: ‘Look who popped in for a fry up this morning!’

Ed’s family had stayed in the hotel on Saturday night after attending a relation’s wedding in Ballydehob, and Ed came in to meet them for breakfast. Staff said he was ‘lovely and charming.’

The singer surprised guests at the previous night’s wedding and took to the stage with the wedding band for a rendition of Stevie Wonder’s ‘Superstition’ as well as singing two of his own songs.
