Demi is coming to Bantry for ‘Strictly'

Young Offenders actor and Dancing with the Stars contestant Demi Isaac Oviawe is coming to Bantry to judge the final of this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

Young Offenders actor and Dancing with the Stars contestant Demi Isaac Oviawe is coming to Bantry to judge the final of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Contestants will take to the dance floor this March all in the name of charity with proceeds going to St Finbarr’s Boys national school.  

 The semi-final will take place in the Westlodge Hotel on Saturday 9th March and will be judged by local dance teacher Robin O’Donovan, Miss Bantry Abigail Harrington and Cllr Danny Collins. The final will take place on Saturday March 16th , with judge Demi Isaac Oviawe, fresh from her time on RTE’s Dancing with the Stars. 

Demi is joined by local business owner Gillian Harte who, together with dance partner Ger O’Brien, won Strictly Bantry 2018.  The judging panel is completed by dance fan Siobhan Cronin, news editor of The Southern Star.  

The hosts for the live shows are local duo Richard Harrington, owner of The Quays Bar, one of last year’s hosts, and Mary Claire O’Sullivan.

Dance teachers Theresa O’Donoghue and Josie McAuliffe are putting the dancers through their paces four to five times a week.
