As part of its landmark 70th anniversary, Cork International Film Festival is bringing the magic to Cinemax Bantry with a special selection of festival screenings this month.

Audiences in Bantry can look forward to two acclaimed new films on Tuesday, November 11th with Richard Linklater’s Nouvelle Vague (pictured) at 6pm, and Oliver Laxe’s Sirât at 8.15pm. The former, a French/USA production, is a ‘vibrant love letter to the birth of the French New Wave’ while the Spanish Sirât is a ‘visually stunning and emotionally charged odyssey through the Moroccan desert’.

Cinemax Bantry will also take part in the Festival’s Super Cine Saturday on November 15th, where the venue features IFI Cork on Camera at 2.30pm, a unique archival programme celebrating Cork’s cinematic and literary heritage.
