Ballincollig to get share of 300 new jobs at HR firm

CORK is to get some of the 300 new jobs being promised by HR specialist Core HR, which announced a major expansion of its operations in Ballincollig this week.

The company is looking to recurit 300 new staff, which will more than double Core HR’s workforce over the next three years. 

Headquartered in Ballincollig, Core HR is one of the world’s leading providers of HR software and technology, specialising in cloud-based HR management and payroll software.

‘Today’s announcement that Core HR, a highly innovative Irish company, is creating 300 new jobs in Cork, Dublin and Kilkenny is great news for the country,’ Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Mary Mitchell O’Connor TD, said. ‘Core HR is a great example of the type of company Enterprise Ireland is working with.’

As well as its headquaters in Cork, the company also has offices in Dublin, Kilkenny and the UK.  However, the majority of the new positions will be based in Cork, Kilkenny and Dublin.

Core HR is now inviting applications across a wide variety of roles including product and development, professional services, customer support, sales and marketing. 

Speaking at the announcement, John Goulding, chief executive of Core HR, said that he was looking forward to a bright future for the firm. ‘This is a very exciting time for Core HR,’ he said.  ‘We have carved out a strong presence across a wide range of sectors to become a world leader at the forefront of developing innovative HR software solutions. After a number of years of strong performance, including 30% revenue growth last year, I am very much looking forward to the next stage of our success story, to expanding our talented team and to continuing our global growth strategy.’

Recruitment for the new positions is now underway.
