The Macroom Ploughing Association hosted their annual ploughing match on Sunday, January 4th on the lands of Angela Leonard at Kilbarry, the fourth ploughing match of the 2025/2026 season in the Cork West region and the first in 2026.
The match was held on a mix of lea and stubble ground on a cold and frosty morning, with 43 competitors.
