Its forecasted to be a few days of nice weather across West Cork, so be sure to get out and experience some of the region's great events this weekend.

This weekend's events include a community festival, the Clonakilty Street Carnival, Fort 2 Fort Charity cycle, a unique dining and theatre experience, and an Australian country music artist's Irish debut.

BEDA Festival - June 12th to June 14th

The Ballineen and Enniskeane Development Association's annual festival takes place this weekend.

On Friday, June 12th, a community coffee morning will be held in the BEDA hall, starting at 10.30am. In the evening a table quiz will be held in the Village Inn, Enniskeane.

On Saturday, June 13th there will be a children's fancy dress disco at 6pm in the BEDA hall. Entry is €5 per child.

A vintage car run will begin at 11am on Sunday, June 14th, and the festival will wrap up with a community barbecue that afternoon at 4pm.

Irish Yoghurts Clonakilty Street Carnival - Saturday June 13th

The Irish Yogurts Clonakilty Street Carnival, which takes place on Saturday June 13th, is a day of festivities celebrating community spirit in West Cork.

This milestone year will feature special guest star, former Irish rugby player Simon Zebo, as well as performances from headline acts including ‘Live Forever’ Oasis Tribute Band, The Kates and The Black Apple Bastards.

A packed programme of free live music, street entertainment and family-friendly activities will take place throughout the day, all set in a fully pedestrianised town centre.

Fort 2 Fort Charity Cycle - Saturday June 13th

The much‑loved Fort 2 Fort Charity Cycle returns for 2026, and this year promises to be the most exciting edition yet.

Riders will once again set off on Saturday, June 13th from the breathtaking and historic Fort Camden in Crosshaven, making their way toward the equally iconic Charles Fort in Kinsale, a route rich in scenery, challenge, and community spirit.

Riders have the option of taking a 60km, 90km or 120km route.

Every kilometre pedalled supports a vital cause. All proceeds from this year’s event go directly to Cork ARC Cancer Support House, an organisation that provides essential services to people and families affected by cancer across Cork.

Faulty Towers Dining Experience - Sunday June 14th

Ella Hartwig at Levis' Corner House - Sunday June 14th

From a remote Far North Queensland town, to national stages across Australia, Ella Hartwig is an award winning country-folk artist whose music captures life on the road
and finding connection.

Her debut album “Take Me South” sold out its initial physical-only release during an Australian National Tour.

Ella has toured extensively across Australia and built a strong live reputation she’s bringing overseas for the first time in 2026.

Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm pass-the-hat gig, meaning it's free to attend, but attendees are encouraged to donate to the artist at the venue.
