WEST Cork will be well represented at the upcoming Coupe de la Jeunesse Beach Sprint, which takes place from Friday, October 31st to November 2nd at Playa de Poniente, La Línea de la Concepción (Cádiz, Spain).

Aidan Barry, Ring Rowing Club, will team up with Cillian Leslie (Muckross Rowing Club) in the junior men’s single. There are two West Cork rowers in the junior women’s single, as both Ava Sexton (Courtmacsherry Rowing Club) and Emma Crowley (Rosscarbery Rowing Club) will compete.

Conor Kelly and Éibhear O’Farrell, both Ring Rowing Club, will race in the junior men’s double at the Coupe de la Jeunesse Beach Sprint.

This event provides an invaluable opportunity for developing coastal rowers to gain international experience in the growing beach sprint discipline, which will make its Olympic debut at Los Angeles 2028.
