WITH the Cheltenham Festival fast approaching in March, West Cork racing fans can pick up a few tips at a bumper Cheltenham Preview Night at the Celtic Ross Hotel in Rosscarbery on Monday, February 16th, starting at 8pm.
Proceeds from the night – with tickets priced at just €20 – will go towards the Reenascreena National School Development Fund and its new classroom fundraiser, offering racegoers the chance to support a great local cause while hearing from leading voices ahead of Cheltenham.
The panel will include Clonakilty native Richie Forristal, editor of The Irish Racing Post; Jane Mangan, broadcaster with RTÉ and Racing TV; Aubrey McMahon of Temple Bloodstock; and professional punter Johnny Dineen, who also contributes to the Upping The Ante YouTube series.

Mike O’Connor, a jockey based at the yard of leading trainer Henry de Bromhead, has also been confirmed as a guest on the night.
A raffle with numerous prizes will also take place, including a morning at Willie Mullins’ Closutton gallops.
