Super Sam Maguires capture Rebel Óg West minor A football title

SECOND-HALF goals from Kieran Forbes and Fionn Herlihy helped Sam Maguires capture the Rebel Óg West minor A football title in Aughaville on Sunday.

Sam Maguires were well on top in the second half as they saw off Bantry Blues by 2-10 to 0-5 to win the divisional title.

The winners led 0-6 to 0-3 at the break – but those two goals in a three-minute spell at the end of the third quarter turned the game.

Keith White was immense for Sam Maguires, as were Fionn Herlihy, Kieran Forbes, Bill Murphy, Rhys Coakley and Cullan Barry.
