SKIBBEREEN Rowing Club’s Shane O’Driscoll and Mark O’Donovan are through to the A final of the men’s lightweight pair at the world senior rowing championships in Rotterdam.
The Irish duo came second in their semi-final, finishing in 6:32.180, just behind France, while the USA were in third.
Shane and Mark, who finished seventh at last year’s worlds in France, now go forward to the A final where they will be up against Great Britain, Denmark, China, France and the USA.
Earlier, Paul O'Donovan qualified for the A final of the men's lightweight single sculls.
