DRINAGH Rangers U16s, Dunmanway Town U13s and U15s have qualified for their respective age-grade’s SuperValu West Cork Schoolgirls Challenge Cup finals.
Rangers overcame Clonakilty AFC 6-1 to make it through to this season’s U16 Schoolgirls Challenge Cup decider.
Rosie O’Donovan and Nathalie Morrissey each scored twice in a semi-final Laoise Young and Mia Hegarty also found the net. Aine Deiseach netted Clonakilty’s only goal. Drinagh will meet the winners of Sullane and Bay Rovers’ upcoming semi-final.

Sophie Mawe Downey (two) and Lauren McSweeney (two) strikes booked Dunmanway Town’s place in this season’s U15 Schoolgirls Challenge Cup final at the Meadows.
A 4-0 win over Beara United means Town will take on either Clonakilty AFC or Lyre Rovers in the cup decider.
The U14 Schoolgirls Challenge Cup semi-final lineup will see Lyre Rovers hosting Drinagh Rangers and Beara United travelling to Dunmanway Town.
Aodha McCarthy’s solitary strike was enough to earn Dunmanway an U13 Schoolgirls Challenge Cup semi-final victory, 1-0 away to Beara United in Castletownbere.
Riverside Athletic will face Town in that cup decider following last Monday evening’s 2-1 defeat of Castlelack in Brinny.
Robyn Nyhan fired the visitors in front after 13 minutes but Elsie Crowley’s equaliser sent the teams in level at the break. The next goal would prove crucial and Riverside grabbed it after 41 minutes. Ella Murray netted to make it 2-1 and Athletic held on to reach this season’s U13 Schoolgirls Challenge Cup final.
Ellie O’Regan (two) and Aisling O’Donovan goals helped Drinagh Rangers overcome Riverside Athletic and set-up an U12 Schoolgirls Challenge Cup semi-final at home to Clonakilty AFC Reds.
The Ballyvackey club will look to Aisling Powley, Laoise Harte and Catherine Foley for goals in that matchup. The other semi-final involves Bay Rovers and Beara United after the Kealkill club knocked Clonakilty AFC Greens out on penalties in the previous round.

Skibbereen Dynamos set up a SuperValu U12 Schoolboys Challenge Cup round of 16 meeting with Bunratty United Reds following a convincing win over Togher Celtic at Ollie McCarthy Park.
Charlie Leung scored four times for the home team. James McDonagh (2), Jackson Dooley and Jack McCarthy also found the net for a rampant Dynamos.
Clonakilty AFC Rovers are the first club through to the U12 Schoolboys Challenge Cup quarter-finals following a walkover from Bunratty United Black.
The quarter-finals line-up will be completed after Lyre Rovers Black host Bay Rovers, Castlelack Celtic entertain Riverside Athletic, Sullane take on Clonakilty AFC Wanderers, Dunmanway Town welcome Lyre Rovers Yellow and Drinagh Diamonds meet Castlelack Rangers.

Lyre Rovers edged past Riverside Athletic, winning 1-0 to qualify for the last four of the U13 Schoolboys Challenge Cup last Monday evening. Sonny Crowley’s 56th minute strike proved the difference between the teams.
Rovers will host the winners of Castlelack Athletic and Clonakilty AFC City’s upcoming clash in the U13 Schoolboys Challenge Cup semi-finals.
On the opposite side of the draw, Drinagh Diamonds or Bay Rovers will have home advantage for the visit of Clonakilty AFC, Beara United or Dunmanway Town in the penultimate round.

The SuperValu U14 Schoolboys Challenge Cup quarter-finals have been confirmed.
Drinagh Rangers’ reward for overcoming Riverside Athletic is a home tie against local rivals Dunmanway Town. Ardfield put six goals past Bay Rovers in their previous outing and will enjoy home advantage for another local derby, against Clonakilty AFC Reds, at the Showgrounds.
Liam Carey, Lizard Maurins, Diarmuid Dineen, Darragh Dineen, Conor Kelleher and Matt Buckley goals helped Sullane see off Togher Celtic. As a result, the Ballyvourney club travels to Bunratty United’s first round conquerors, Castlelack, in the quarter-finals. The meeting of Beara United and Skibbereen Dynamos in Castletownbere rounds off an intriguing quartet of cup ties.
Three of this season’s SuperValu U14 Schoolboys Shield quarter-finals are also now confirmed.
Skibbereen Celtic will host Lyre Rovers and Togher Celtic will visit Riverside Athletic. Town Park in Schull is the venue for Bunratty United and Bay Rovers’ Shield quarter-final.
The U15 Schoolboys Challenge Cup quarter-finals should produce plenty of goals with Skibbereen AFC hosting Togher Celtic and Castlelack taking on Lyre Rovers. Dunmanway Town will face Beara United while Canon Crowley Park is the venue for Drinagh Rangers and Riverside Athletic’s matchup.

Ballyvackey was the venue for a cracking SuperValu U16 Schoolboys Challenge Cup quarter-final involving Clonakilty AFC and Castlelack.
The hosts led 2-1 at the break but Castlelack underlined their attacking quality with five second half strikes, including 2025 WCCSL Player of the Year Jack Allen scoring twice.
It finished 5-3 in Castlelack’s favour thanks to additional Sean Evans (two) and Oran Keohane strikes. Ben O’Regan, Charlie O’Sullivan and Luke O’Regan (penalty) replied for a battling Clonakilty. The Brinny club will travel to Bay Rovers in the penultimate round on April 21st.
Elsewhere in the U16 Schoolboys Challenge Cup, Togher Celtic made it through to the last four following a 4-1 defeat of Bunratty United in Togher.
Marc Bowen scored for the Schull club but Aaron Hurley (two), Sammy O’Mahony and Filip Kowalewski goals set-up a Togher cup semi-final meeting with either Drinagh Rangers or Kilmichael Rovers.
Those outcomes also determined the makeup of the U16 Schoolboys Shield semi-finals. As with all WCSSL cups, any clubs knocked out of the cups are automatically entered into the region’s Shield competitions.
Bunratty United will have home advantage for the visit of the losers of Bay Rovers and Castlelack’s cup semi-final. Clonakilty AFC will host one from Togher Celtic, Drinagh or Kilmichael Rovers in the other Shield penultimate round tie.
