New champions will be crowned in the South West junior A hurling championship this season
NEW champions will be crowned in the South West JAHC this season after reigning kingpins Newcestown were dumped out of the competition on Monday night.
Newcestown lost 0-10 to 0-8 against St Oliver Plunkett’s at a wet and windy Enniskeane, with the Saints leading 0-8 to 0-3 at the break of this round three match.
Michael P Keohane and Conor O’Driscoll did the bulk of the scoring for the winners, who now face Clonakilty in the quarter-final.
