New Cork football boss Peadar Healy will be busy assembling his senior football management team

NEW Cork senior football manager Peadar Healy is likely to include, at least, two former Cork footballers in his management team.

The Southern Star understands that 2010 All-Ireland winner Paudie Kissane (who was previously involved in the Clare senior football backroom team) and Conor McCarthy are set to be involved in Healy’s backroom team, as is former Castlehaven county championship winning manager James McCarthy.

Possibly, Kissane will come in as strength and conditioning coach, Conor McCarthy as psychologist and James McCarthy as coach, with two more selectors also to be added in what already looks an impressive backroom team.

Former Rebel defender Kissane – who was named as Cork minor football selector in August – and Conor McCarthy both played for their clubs, Clyda Rovers and O’Donovan Rossa respectively, in this year’s Cork SFC, while James McCarthy is involved in the Castlehaven management team. The Haven play Nemo Rangers in Sunday’s Cork SFC final in Páirc Uí Rinn.
