Mary is the first female Doheny GAA chairperson

Mary Maybury has become the first female chairperson of Doheny GAA club.

A little piece of history was created at the Doheny GAA Club AGM when Mary Maybury became the first female chairperson of the club.  

A LITTLE piece of history was created at the Doheny GAA Club AGM when Mary Maybury became the first female chairperson of the club.  

Mary has done Trojan work for the club over the last 20 years, serving as vice chair and assistant secretary in recent times. She takes over the baton from Jerry O’Mahony.

Meanwhile, the Doheny Dinner Dance takes place in the Parkway Hotel on Saturday, January 26th at 7.30pm. The social is celebrating the Doheny U21 hurlers that retained the West Cork U21 B championship title and the Doheny ladies that defended their junior West Cork championship crown.  The club is also honouring the Doheny junior (1993) and intermediate (1995) county football championship-winning teams. Tickets priced at €20 and can be sourced through any Doheny Executive member.
