What’s the one thing you can’t live without? It would have to be food!

What would I find in your fridge right now? Lots and lots of veg ... new year, new me and all that!

Name one element your sport could/should take from another? I think ladies football is pretty good rules wise, but maybe we need more consistency to enforce the rules.

What do you think about when you’re alone in your car? I spend a copious amount of time in my car but mainly thinking about what I’ll eat when I get to my destination.

Who has been the biggest influence on your sporting career (and why)? My family, obviously my parents but especially my sister; if it weren’t for her pushing me when I was younger I’d still be sitting in front of the TV weighing about 20 stone!

Pick two celebrities to be your parents:  Meryl Streep because she’s cool and Liam Neeson because he’d stop me from being Taken.

What do you think cats dream of? I’m not fond of cats but I believe they dream of destroying their owners. As I said, I’m not fond of cats….

If you could play any other sport for one day what would it be? I’d love to play rugby. It wasn’t big when I was growing up and I think it would have been a great sport to learn real discipline.

If you joined a circus, what would you perform? I’d probably be the clown; I wouldn’t be physically capable of doing all the other mad stuff.

If you could get rid of one county in Ireland what would it be and why? I should say Kerry but I live and work there so that rules that out, so maybe Leitrim or Longford – they’re just so far away, I don’t think I’d miss them.

What would you do if you found a penguin in your freezer?

He would most likely be eaten at some point. Nothing gets out of the freezer alive!

Before we let you go, teach us something that we don’t know: More than 50 per cent of the people in the world have never made or received a telephone call. Get your head around that.
