A motorsport navigator who recently became the first female winner of the Munster Night Navigation Championship with her driver David Beamish, Muireann Hayes (20), from Togher in Cork City, has to think long and hard before choosing her most treasured item of clothing

Muireann Hayes Rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 10 on how funny you are? I would give myself a 10 but everyone else would probably give me a two. I spend way too long laughing at my own jokes...

Highlight of your sporting career? It definitely has to be winning the Munster Night Navigation Championship recently. I am the first girl to win it and it feels unreal! I certainly wouldn’t have won it without my driver David Beamish though; he’s well able to steer!

Most dialled number on your phone? Probably Mammy – there’s nothing more urgent in the world than making sure I’ll be home on time for the dinner.

What’s your karaoke song? It is generally safer if I stay away from karaoke.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself? I can have serious OCD moments, especially when it comes to polishing my car.

Best-ever holiday? Rally Finland last summer.

If you won the lotto what would you buy first? I would have to buy one serious shed first. Then I would have plenty room for the amount of cars I would buy.

Separated at birth, who’s your celebrity twin double? Can I say Katie Price? I’m stone mad about her!

What’s your favourite word? Sure, that’s rallying.

If you could change any part of you what would it be? I wouldn’t change anything. I am happy out being dopey me!

Your most treasured item of clothing? It would have to be my World Rally Championship jacket I got in Finland.

Favourite cartoon? I wouldn’t be a woman for cartoons. Watching Peppa Pig for hours on end with the niece and nephew is enough.

If I was an animal then I would be a ... cheetah.

What question would you liked to have been asked in this interview? What is my favourite car? An R32 golf would definitely be up there but our battered fifty shades of blue Night Nav Subaru would be hard to top.
