DRINAGH Rangers were crowned West Cork League Premier Division champions on Sunday evening.
Needing only to avoid defeat against reigning champions Skibbereen, who were also in second place and the only team that could mathematically catch Drinagh, it was the home side that turned in an awesome performance to dismantle their main title rivals 6 – 1.
Barry O’Driscoll (h) scored a hat-trick, while Keith Jagoe, Tomas Connolly and Derek Crowley all scored for the new league champions, with Mark Collins replying for Skibbereen.
