THERE will be two huge West Cork derbies in the 2016 Cork senior football championship.
2015 beaten finalists Castlehaven will take on Clonakilty, who endured a miserable championship run this year and were involved in the club’s first SFC relegation final before beating Avondhu.
Meanwhile, Kelleher Shield champions and 2015 semi-finalists O’Donovan Rossa will take on the Carbery divisional team in another intriguing local derby.
Elsewhere in round one, Dohenys drew Douglas, 2015 semi-finalists Carbery Rangers meet Clyda Rovers, Newcestown got CIT, Beara are paired with St Finbarr's while Valley Rovers await the preliminary round tie between Avondhu and Ilen Rovers.
Champions Nemo start off the title defence against Duhallow.
