FIONA Everard has been selected on the Athletics Ireland team that will compete in the upcoming European 10,000m Cup on Saturday, May 23rd in La Spezia, Italy.
The Bandon AC athlete has been in excellent form in the last six months, finishing tenth at the European Cross-Country Championships and inside the top 25 in January’s World Cross-Country Championships.
She also won her second national senior cross-country title in late 2025, backing up her first success in 2023.

Everard clocked a PB of 31:58 on her way to victory in a 10km road race in Saint-Ménard-en-Jalles, France at the end of March.
The Enniskeane woman is one of six women and four men who will compete in the Irish vest at the Centro Sportivo Alessandro Montagna stadium.
Joining Everard on the Ireland team are Emily Haggard-Kearney (North Belfast Harriers), Sorcha Nic Dhomhnaill (West Limerick AC), Niamh Allen (Leevale AC), Patricia Jackman (Waterford AC), Faye Dervan (Dublin City Harriers), Callum Morgan (Candour Track Club), Jamie Battle (Mullingar Harriers), Michael Murphy (Tullamore Harriers) and Oisín O'Gailín (Finn Valley AC).
