Flights were grounded earlier when a drone was spotted in the airfield

Flights have now resumed at Dublin Airport following drone sighting early on Thursday.

The official Dublin Airport twitter account had earlier tweeted that they were: "temporarily suspending flight operations due the confirmed sighting of a drone over the airfield."

This development follows on from the disruption faced by British passengers towards the end of 2018 when fligths were grounded at Gatwick for a number of days because of drone sightings.
