MOTIVATIONAL speaker and Castletownshend resident Walt Hampton has been announced as the new president and chief executive of Book Yourself Solid worldwide.

Former actor Michael Port of Michael Port & Associates announced the appointment last week.

Port is the author of New York Times best-seller Book Yourself Solid, and a founder of the Book Yourself Solid business system.

He has been called an ‘uncommonly honest author’ by the Boston Globe, a ‘marketing guru by the Wall Street Journal, and a ‘sales guru’ by the Financial Times

Port was once a professional actor, having received his MFA from NYU’s Graduate Acting Programme, guest starring on shows like Sex & The City and Law & Order, and in films like The Pelican Brief and Down to Earth.

Hampton was Ivy-educated as a trial lawyer, and is executive director of Summit Success, a global personal and professional development firm. He is the best-selling author of Journeys on the Edge: Living A Life That Matters.

An expert on time management, productivity and sustainable peak performance, Hampton has served as an elite-level certified coach with Book Yourself Solid.

When not speaking and consulting, Hampton can be found sea kayaking, ultra-distance running or climbing in the high mountains of the world.

Hampton will oversee the operations of the Book Yourself Solid mentoring programme worldwide and he will direct the company’s coach training and certification programme.

‘I know the effectiveness of the system,’ says Hampton. ‘It works for entrepreneurs, business professionals, consultants, coaches, accountants, solicitors, and retailers. And we have a wonderful group of members here in Ireland.’

‘Hampton brings decades of experience as a leader and a true passion for coaching,’ Port said. ‘Simply put, he loves people.’
