THE National Lottery has issued a final plea to EuroMillions players in Cork to check their tickets as the deadline to claim a €1m prize, won in February, is tomorrow Thursday May 24th  at 5:30pm.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold at the Wilton Shopping Centre’s Easons bookstore outlet on the day of the draw, Friday, Febuary 23rd. The draw included a special EuroMillionaire raffle, with 25 guaranteed prizes of €1m, across participating EuroMillions countries, and there was one Irish winner of the as-yet-unclaimed €1m. The winning code on the ticket was I-DKB-06633.

Last week a National Lottery delegation visited the Eason Store in the search for the ticketholder but nobody since has come forward.

National Lottery chief executive Dermot Griffin has now called on all EuroMillions players to check their tickets:

‘With just over 24 hours to go until this deadline, I am once again appealing to all of our players, especially those in Cork, to check old tickets.’

‘It would be a shame to see this €1m go unclaimed.’

Ticketholders have 90 days from the date of the draw to claim their prize in person at National Lottery Headquarters on Abbey Street in Dublin. Tickets can be checked in-store or through the National Lottery app. If you’re the lucky ticketholder, sign the back of the ticket and contact the National Lottery prize claims team by calling 01 836 4444.
