THE Blacknight SME Awards, the most inclusive business awards for SMEs on the island of Ireland, are hosting their final in the Radisson Blu Hotel in Little Island on Saturday night, April 25th. Companies from all over Ireland will be represented.

The 2015 SME Awards ceremony is intended as an evening away from looking after your small to medium enterprise and to celebrate the hard work of the nominees throughout the year. 2fm’s Rick O’Shea is the MC.

These awards are from the same team that run the Social Media Awards, the Blog Awards and the Web Awards. The awards are free to enter with the public allowed to judge these businesses. Tickets for the awards ceremony start at €30, and over 200 people are expected to attend.

On choosing Cork as the location for the awards, organiser Damien Mulley said: ‘We previously ran the Blog Awards in Cork and people still, years later, ask when we’ll do another event in Cork. Cork seems to be a favourite location for many, and our finalists have said they’re lookingforward to coming down to Cork and spending the weekend here.’

Over 150 businesses entered the awards with 80 businesses in the final on the 25th.

Many of these businesses are Cork companies too, including Fernhill House Hotel and Gardens in Clonakilty.
