West Cork food producers will be among those showcasing their products to a new audience of buyers at an event in Limerick later this month.
WEST Cork food producers will be among those showcasing their products to a new audience of buyers at an event in Limerick later this month.
The LEO ‘Meet the Buyer’ event will take place in the Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT) on Thursday, May 23rd and will feature up-and-coming producers from all over the country, buyers from Ireland, the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, representing the key supermarket groups and food service sectors, are expected to attend on the day.
This will provide SMEs with a great opportunity to gain new distribution for their products and to get expert advice on how to succeed.
West Cork will be represented by Danny O’Regan’s business Schull & Crossbones, the only Irish producer of dairy and lactose-free alternatives to yoghurt. Based in Schull, the range is called Coconut Treasure and is vegan-friendly.
The event is trade-only, so it is open to buyers from across the food industry such as supermarket groups, food wholesalers, retailers, independent fine food shops, food service, development chefs, restaurants and more.
It’s set to be a key annual business event for industry.
