The airline also will fly to the French cities of Carcassonne  and Bordeaux from Monday and the Italian airport of Milan Bergamo from Sunday.

Spanish carrier Iberia Express commences its summer schedule to Madrid from Saturday. Managing director at Cork Airport, Niall MacCarthy, said ‘We are preparing for another busy June bank holiday weekend. All our seasonal routes will be fully operational with over 50 routes on offer during the year along with daily long-haul connectivity through major European hub airports. In total, 2.6 million passengers are expected to travel through Cork Airport this year, up by 8% on 2018, its fourth consecutive year of growth,’ Mr McCarthy added.

‘As we are expecting a busy weekend ahead, we advise passengers to arrive at least 90 minutes before their flight and go directly to the security screening area once checked in.’
